We have recently introduced the newest models from OpenAI and Google to generate and edit images. You can get the unbeaten quality from ChatGPT and Gemini directly within Alice, faster and more reliable.

## Create image mode

This mode allows you to create and edit images with Alice. Once enabled (⌘i), your assistant will gain access to the "Image Generation" tool, which will be used whenever you ask for an image or its modifications.

In Assistants (Agents) settings you can decide, what model will be used to generate images. Once you choose the model, make sure that you have this models API key provided in the settings. Within Alice Pro plan we currently support Nano Banana model without the need to provide keys:

## Editing images

With newest models you can also edit images in Alice. It's super simple, just drop an image on Alice, make sure that image mode is enabled and ask for edits. The best model for this is currently Nano Banana:

## gpt-image-1 (OpenAI) image generation mode

This mode works on your API keys as it's currently technically not possible to set it up within our plan. To set up image generation:

1. Make sure you have the [OpenAI key](https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys)

2. [Verify your organization](https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/general) within OpenAI

3. Generate the OpenAI key and paste to General Settings in Alice.
